Wooden Statue of Saint Teresa

Inside the display case there is an eighteenth-century wooden statue depicting Saint Teresa of Ávila (Number  one E). The figure of the Carmelite saint is portrayed with distinctive iconographic attributes: she wears the habit of the Discalced Carmelite Order, holding a book and a feather for writing in her hands, emblematic symbols of her life and theological works.
